Stage 2 Detoxification
Detox Complete is a comprehensive dietary supplement containing vitamins, nutrients, and herbs specially blended to promote cleansing and removal of heavy metals from the body. Detox Complete is part 2 of the EcoNugenics Toxin Removal System, and is designed to be used together with PectaSol® Chelation Complex.
The key components of Detox Complete include sulfur containing groups of phytonutrients, as well as herbs selected for their specific ability to detoxify and protect against heavy metals and toxins. This herbal blend also provides critical antioxidants and supports the liver during the detoxification process. Prominent ingredients include garlic, cilantro, milk thistle seed extract, dandelion leaf extract, L-glutathione, and N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine.
A total of 22 herbs are synergistically combined to create a truly powerful nutraceutical supplement for cleansing and detoxifying. EcoNugenics recommends the use of PectaSol® Chelation Complex for a minimum of four weeks prior to beginning use of Detox Complete.
The use of Detox Complete in conjunction with PectaSol® Chelation Complex provides a full spectrum detoxification from heavy metals and environmental toxins.
The Research
Scientific Research has demonstrated the ability of specific herbs and extracts, specifically garlic, coriander, cilantro, Ginkgo biloba, and antioxidants, as well as minerals such as zinc and selenium, to combat the accumulation of toxins and gently promote their removal from the body's tissues and organs. Many of the detoxfying herbs and antioxidants also support the actions of the liver and kidneys so that the body can better detoxify naturally.

Additional Usage Guidelines:
This product is designed to be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after food, or 2 hours either before or after other supplements or medications.

Heavy Metal Toxicity
Heavy metals have been shown to disrupt the normal functioning systems in the body including the nervous, immune and cardiovascular systems. They exert toxic effects by binding to sulfur containing groups in proteins and disrupting protein function, as well as DNA adduct leading to mutations. In addition, heavy metals are strong oxidizers and may lead to the production of free radicals.*
Unique Formula
Heavy metal detoxification is supported by providing the body with antioxidants and compounds that contain sulfur groups. Although Detox Complete® offers detoxification support, the formula is far more than a mixture of antioxidants. The herbs that form the proprietary blend are selected for specific tissue affinities and combined in concert with the principles of Tibetan medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Naturopathic herbology. Garlic
Garlic is rich in sulfur containing compounds. It has been shown to prevent the tissue accumulation of organic mercury and cadmium and increase the excretion of heavy metals. Both concurrent and post-consumption of garlic lowers lead tissue levels.*
Cilantro
Cilantro binds both inorganic and organic forms of mercury. There is evidence that post consumption with cilantro may reduce mercury deposits in the body. Cilantro has been shown to be protective against lead poisoning.*
Sulfur containing amino acids and compounds
GSH (glutathione), MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), cysteine, NAC (N-acetyl cysteine), and ALA (alpha-lipoic acid) are thiol containing compounds with important roles in detoxification. These sulfur containing compounds are known to chelate heavy metals and quench free radicals.*
Selenium
Mercury and cadmium toxicity is reduced by selenium. The reduction in mercury toxicity is due to formation of a strong molecular bonds between selenium and mercury.*

Detox Complete®
Why is it necessary to wait at least one month before adding the Detox Complete® to my heavy metal chelation program?
It is necessary to take PectaSol® Chelation Complex™ for a minimum of 1 month prior to adding Detox Complete® as these products were formulated and designed to work synergistically. Detox Complete® is a more aggressive chelating compound, but lacks the binding capacity of PectaSol® Chelation Complex™, resulting in a 2 step detoxification process requiring both formulas.
